"Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori depicts her father's Country, Thundi, on Bentinck Island in the South Wellesley Islands, a small archipelago in the Gulf of Carpentaria in far north Queensland. Thundi was described by Gabori as 'bush Country', a place adjacent to a river near the island's northern tip on its north-eastern coast."(© The Estate of the Artist and Alcaston Gallery, Melbourne)
